Disassembling of Ritchey Z-hub (MTB rear)
It was a surprize to find that Ritchey rear MTB hub is
cup-and-cone type one. I thought it is only Shimano and
Campagnolo who can afford manufacturing own bearings.
Anyway, the tools to open it:
- Two 15mm cone wrenches (in fact one can be regular not too
thick wrench) to remove the axle
- 12mm Allen key to unscrew the freehub body. Shimano
hubs are opened with 10mm Allen, I did not expect that a new
tool will be needed. And this must be a long Allen - about 8cm
or so.
